Self-Employed-Residence-Permit-in-Lativa-for-Indians-July-2024

Mayank has a successful business of pilot and aircraft mechanic recruitment and outsourcing to major airlines. He is associated with a UK based company and manages a data base of some 10,000 aviation experts.

He operated this business out of Indonesia since  2019.  He also setup a company in Lithuania in 2023. However, his Lithuanian company could not secure his residency in Lithuania, due to a long list of requirements imposed by Lithuanian immigration. These included, creation of two full time jobs and proving business activity for six months. Mayank was quite frustrated by his last trip in Lithuania in October 2023 where he wasted a month of effort to convince the immigration authorities but no use. He left back to Indonesia without any success in Lithuania.

Solution Provided : Quick Residency Permit by small Investment into a successful group company. Client now collaborates with the company to offer his expertise through it, on a profit and cost share basis and plans to expand into other EU countries. He is now also planning to activate his Lithuanian company to develop his aviation recruitment by hiring two staff and perhaps a year down the road, move to Lithuania.

Time frame till TRP card issued : Just about 10 days all in from entry to Latvia on 5th July. July 16th client already collected his residence permit.

Client now collaborates with the company to develop his own services, on a profit share basis and plans to open his own company in Portugal.

Time frame till TRP card issued : Residence application submitted on 17 June , 2024.  It took 5 working days from application submission within Latvia, decision granted 25 June, 2024. Client  entered with a Schengen tourist visa issued by Switzerland.  Time frame to prepare the application and take immigration pre- approval before the client entered Latvia was approx. 30 days. Pre-entry work involves obtaining all documents including work experience certificates,  police clearances, marriage and birth certificates, apostille etc. bank balance certificates for support of the family members etc.

Major advantage :  Client now has a legal residence permit in Latvia, E-signature for remote signing of all documents from now, Latvian bank account and freedom of Schengen wide mobility. As a legal resident of a EU-Schengen country, he is still eligible to apply for residency in Portugal, compared to those holding tourist visas who can no longer just enter Portugal and apply for residency. His main goal is to settle his family in Portugal, that his Latvian residency will now pave the way to.

Meanwhile he now enjoys instant visa-free Schengen access in the wallet for ease of business development. We all know what a pain it is to get a Schengen visa nowadays.

Client :  Mr. Dixit M.

Occupation : Entrepreneur, Partner, Project Manager

Base : India and UAE

Experience :  International Recruitment Serivces

Major clientele : Europe and Middle East

Indian client from Gujarat. Based in Dubai, active in international recruitment of Truck Drivers and other Construction workers into Europe. With a vast network of contacts already with major transport and other types of companies in Europe.

Client and I have known each other for about two years.

Despite all his connections, he approached me to set up a residency solution in Latvia for him. It was purely based on mutual trust I believe.

So, client opted for the investment option with a twist. We have arranged an investment into a successful consulting firm that specializes in hiring and outsourcing specialized engineers to projects around Europe.

In return, the client has a residence permit issued.  Total time frame was  28 days.  Yesterday August 15th 2023, we collected his residence permit.

Update : January 2024 . The client has now purchased a recruitment company in Lithuania and while he holds residence permit in Latvia, his main source of income is now his business in Lithuania that recruits workers from Asia and Middle East into Europe.

Indian-investor-in-Latvia-gets-residence-permit-2023

Case Study
Our Pakistani client from UAE, successfully moves to Norway through Latvian Capital Share Investor Visa. Clever yet very much possible.

A client, a capital share investor in Latvia enjoying hassle free residency, without any business management headache.

Visits Norway to meet with an old relative. Relative runs a petrol station with a open yard in the back.

The client is a used card dealer in Sharjah, UAE. Imports used and damaged cars from USA .

Becomes a partner with his relative in Norway in his company. Totally possible.

Imports a container of accidental Tesla cars into Norway and displays these at the yard behind the petrol station.  Cars sell out quickly as Norway is the biggest user of Tesla.

Lives in Latvia, visits Norway once every two weeks to accept delivery of cars, displays, sells, brings more. Flying to Norway is cheap from Latvia.

Profitable business operated for 12 months, taxes filed, jobs were already created.

Applies for residency.  After 3 months of monitoring of his business, Norway grants him and his wife 5 years residence permits. Based on a legit and already proven genuine business activity.

Now, Norway would never have granted this type of residency to any NON EU citizen if approached directly.

Latvia opened a soft backdoor entry and made long term settlement in Norway possible.

Same case study applies to almost all EU-Schengen countries. Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Poland etc. Governments first demand a legit business activity and then grant a parallel residency permit. Latvian residency will facilitate this. You can stay in any Schengen country for  90 days within 180 days. So supervising a business in multiple countries by frequent trips is easier, while keeping Latvia as home base.

Guess, what ? It is legal to hold multiple residence permits of different countries. So you see, Latvia offers a valuable tool for business owners to plan a business expansion and long term settlement in a Schengen country of choice, if Latvia is not ideal to make it a permanent home.

We have more case studies to share. We are currently adding on a weekly basis. Please bear with us.

Case Study
Our Pakistani client from UAE, successfully moves to Germany through Latvian Capital Share Investor Visa.

Similar to the above case, this client had a nephew in Germany, running a small restaurant. Upon securing his 'passive' Capital Share Investor visa through us, he invested in a bigger restaurant, along with his nephew as manager. He became a partner.  It took about 12 months further till he was able to also get his Germany residence permit. Although, in this case, his Germany permit is for 3 years, he is still holding his Latvian residency and flies back and forth between Europe and UAE. In UAE, he has a thriving business of motor bike trading, repair and rental. His clients are most food delivery apps. He is also from a food background and used to manage a very popular and ongoing Pizza Restaurant in Jumeirah, Dubai. So you see, Latvian entry facilitates further expansion and ultimately, you choose where in Europe you would like to settle down for long term.

Case Study
Our Syrian client from UAE, along with his wife and two teenage children,  enjoyed Latvian residency for three years

This Syrian client has lived in Dubai for 27 years. His children wanted to study medicine in Hungary. As such, they wanted a residence permit that would give the mother and father the flexibility to travel to Europe whenever they wanted. Syrians were generally not granted Schengen visas easily. In 2018 we organized a capital share investor visa for the family.

Due to his own personal reasons and a court battle with his employer in UAE, he could not visit Latvia for the annual renewal. This issue continues with him and he cannot leave UAE.  However, we have still kept his equity share in Latvian company and are willing to get him another five year term residency based on further negotiations.
